Changes at Griffin's Auctioneers

We are moving (finally)!

We are very excited to announce that we will soon be moving to larger premises. For those who have sold and bid with us over the last four years, you may have been aware that we had fast outgrown our current building. We can now happily announce that we are moving to a larger building just two-minute’s drive from our current location. This will hopefully allow us to offer a better viewing experience alongside greater accessibility and selling capacity.

The new address is; Wedgnock House, Wedgnock Lane, Warwick, CV34 5AP.

We are joining Auctionet!

We are also thrilled to announce that we are joining Auctionet. Auctionet will run alongside the bidding platforms we already utilise and allow for a new form of continuous everyday bidding at our new premises. This will allow us to offer a dynamic and modern selling option together with the traditional auction experience that we are all familiar with. Our Fine Art & Antique sales will still be operational on both the EasyLive Auctions and Saleroom.com bidding platforms as well as the Auctionet platform. If you require additional information, we have cards available at our office and Griffin’s staff will be able to explain both the buying and selling process for the new platform.

This change will allow us to raise the quality of our Antique & Fine Art sales, whilst also offering increased sale capacity for many items through auction. Continuous sales will run on the Auctionet platform every day, with greater viewing facilities and faster turnaround times for both vendors and buyers.

Changes to terms

Alongside these exciting changes we are also announcing a change to our auction fee structures. Like most small businesses, rising costs across the board have meant that some adjustments are required to offset these changes and aid our growth as a business. The following changes will be implemented from Monday August 3rd 2026. All pre-existing contracts will be carried out on our original terms and conditions.

Selling commission:

Our standard selling commission will raise to 20% inclusive of VAT, representing a change of 2% from our current 18% fee. Lots will now also be subject to a lotting fee, with each lot carrying a £3+VAT lotting fee.

Buying commission:

Our buyers commission will be changing in line with Auctionet standard buying terms, See below:

Everyday bidding and viewing!

We will be adding new lots to our website every single day and viewing will be available Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm. This will allow us to accept and sell more items and allow buyers more freedom to view and purchase varied lots daily. We are very excited to moving and hope to see you all there soon!
